Well done at State!
The Utah Chess Association's State High School Championship was held on Friday, March 2nd and Saturday, March 3rd. Congrats to Xander Johnson, Josh Fairbourn, Juno Kim, Dallas Foster, Georgiy Kachurin, John Morrell, and Brennan Castleton who all represented Hillcrest at the tournament. We brought home the 3rd place trophy in the 4A division. Special thanks and congratulations to John Morrell, who was able to go both days. Even as our lone warrior, he managed to get a stunning 3.5/6 record. Great job everybody!
